Women’s Fellowship

 For further information click here

The Women’s Fellowship was born at the time of the outbreak of the 1939 / 1945 war with Germany and the real threat of an invasion of this country at that time.  Three young Methodist Women decided to meet on a weekly basis to pray and to have fellowship together.  They drew much comfort from their weekly meetings and they called it, “The Bright Hour”.  As time went on more and more ladies of all ages joined them and it was necessary to appoint a President, Secretary, Treasurer etc. and the Bright Hour became, “The Women’s Fellowship”.

This is a nondenominational meeting and we welcome ladies of all ages.

We meet on Wednesday afternoons at 2-30 p.m.

We have a variety of speakers throughout the year as well as carol service, anniversary tea, Christmas and Easter Communion services and we join with other Women’s Fellowships in the Circuit for a Network Easter Offering service and an Autumn Network service, usually with a guest speaker.

At our weekly meetings and at all the other meetings we are involved in; the whole ethos of Women’s Fellowship is new life in Christ Jesus.
